Another Miracle

Incase you ever doubt the power of prayer!  Yet again we are stand speechless and amazed ( I guess we shouldn't be by now)  and just in awe of how God's hand is over us.
Yesterday there was an accident in the house!  By a series of events  of someone opening a box and Carmela standing a little too close she was hit in the eye with the scissors while there were completely opened.  Now if you think that is horrible to hear you should have been here I think I am still recuperating from the trauma.  Carmela began to scream and of course there was a lot of blood and panic set in for all of us.  Nathan ran to get a taxi to take her to the hospital and Allison Pearce who is visiting from Calgary helped to calm Carmela down.  I tried to splash water to see where the cut was but all I could see was the bleeding.  On top of all this was Isabella and Julia crying and horrified about what just happened.  We PRAYED and prayed and prayed and as Nathan was on his way to the hospital downtown to have her looked at we managed to call family in Abbotsford to get them to pray as well...............
Well once the opthamolagist at the hospital looked her over his first words to Nathan were, "Do you believe in miracles?"  Now how many times do you hear those words coming out of a doctor?"  To make a crazy story short, Carmela's eyes are perfect and all there is to prove the event is a little cut on her eye lid hardly noticeable.   We were able to call everyone back and thank them for praying and allow them to breathe and cry a huge sigh of relief.

PRAISE GOD, that he has his angels protecting us everyday!  Please never think that your prayers for us are in vain!!!! We are living proof to all your prayers.

we love you guys!  We are so thankful we are in this together.

Un Problema ??

This morning we realized that we may have a little problem on our hands.  It seems that one of the neighbourhood  (street) puppies thinks it lives at our house.  It sleeps behind our door which is two gates away from the street.  Apparently it is even thinking it is protecting our house as it barks at everyone who walks by.  Nathan tried to give him water but the dog didn't know what to do with a bowl of water :( kind of sad its probably only ever eaten out of the garbage and off the sidewalk.  He is cute!  About 3 months old and is probably part Labrador pup.  The problem is that we are only here for 5 months and it would be mean to get it used to eating real food instead of garbage and to get used to people actually playing with it and giving it attention.  But the other problem is that dogs out here do not have any vaccines and so it could be dangerous if he bit one of our girls.  Now saying that Isabella told me this morning that while she was at school today she was going to think of a name for our new dog ???   Not sure how this situation will end but meanwhile we have a guard dog :) we were the only house on the street without one so maybe we needed one.
