Where Is Our Confidence?

Yesterday Nathan preached a message on Philippians chapter 3, can we truly say that our confidence is not in ourselves, our past success', our job our title ( and all the other things that we can falsely put our confidence in) and if everything was taken from us that Jesus would be enough and we would consider everything else a loss in comparison of knowing Christ. This week four separate people shared with us how they are struggling with fear and anxiety on a level that has them experiencing panic physical attacks we are praying that God would show them how to exchange their heavy burdens for his peace and quiet trust.

A Note From Bella

Hey as my sisters and I grew up in Canada, Costa Rica and Mexico it has been hard to leave friends and family as we've experienced several moves.

When we were really little we didn't notice how much we missed family and friends and we always kept busy and seemed to move on. But now that were all older people start to mean more and more to us and it gets way harder to leave the people we love. I'm sure a lot of u have moved or have at least been there when you're friends leave, especially when their really close to you. We have been experiencing some difficulty lately with this and we would love it if people could pray for us.

Don't get me wrong we love Mexico the people and the FOOD, but sometimes its a little hard. When we were on home assignment (for the year) in canada we got to know alot of great people and Carmy, Julia and myself had all made really good friendships.
Its still hard to cope with not seeing our friends and not being able to be with them.

Thank you to all our prayer warriors who we need at these times we would love it if you would continue to pray for us as we struggle through transition, missing friends and realize we will not always have those same friends for the rest of your life.

Catching Up With Friends

We enjoyed spending the evening with two of our good friends Chava (Salvador) and Blanca last night. We are thankful for their faithfulness in serving at La Conexion despite many challenges. We are so proud of them. We are kindred spirits in what we have each been learning over the past year and feel like God is calling us to a deeper calling of prayer. We are all eager to see this applied in La Conexion!
