On The Move

Well something that is not new to us is that we are looking for a new place to live.  The owner sold our apartment and we have about a week :)
The girls are excited to experience something new.  We saw a Townhouse yesterday that the kids loved, we are hoping to hear tomorrow if and when we can move.
Since we are talking about things that are on the move I am reminded of how amazing this journey is that we are on, always changing always being challenged always on the move!!

Today we are receiving a short term team from Iowa, that have come to encourage us, pray for us and see how God is moving in our friends here in Mexico City.

This is a picture of our 4 or 5th Noche de Damas,  it was great we all pampered each other and then tried to watch a movie but by 2 ish we started getting a little sleepy.  10 ladies in all stayed the night and in the morning we enjoyed a great breakfast together.  What a beautiful group of women, it is such a priviledge  to walk with them.

Freedom

Meet Tania!! What an honour it is to watch lives change as they experience the grace and freedom that comes from a relationship with Christ.  We have had that privilege as we have watched a very special family begin to walk in truth and experience finding out who they are and watching them break free from the lies of how powerless their enemy has wanted them to believe they are.  Can there be anything sweeter than this?  Mexican's are so easy to love, they are welcoming and beautiful people!  There is nothing more important to us than having as many of them as possible experience the freedom that comes from knowing their identity in Christ and then watching that blessing flow to the people closest to them, their friends and family.

A Growing Family

It is unbelievable how encouraged we feel seeing new people come out to La Conexion and experiencing new life in Christ.  The only way to express how blessed we feel is to imagine being given a new family that keeps growing!  Just like any family we cry with those who are hurting and rejoice with those who are rejoicing.  We are really loving getting to know these new families and just enjoy spending time with them and hearing their individual stories.  We have so much to learn from each one.  One of the most exciting things for our family is watching how God answers the prayers of our children!  Our girls have been praying for over a year for new families to come to La Conexion.  Now we are seeing that happen and we are reminded to pray with with out ceasing and believe like a child.  Carmela and Jules and thrilled to have new friends to play with and now we will just continue to pray for Izzy that we will have some new families arrive with some kids her age!

Its that Time Again!!!

It is hard to believe that we have approached the Alpha weekend retreat again.  Time is going by so fast.  This time around we have about 13-15 new people attending and every week we are experiencing new breakthroughs.  As Alpha goes, everyone is on there own personal spiritual journey and there are some who are now beginning to ask about reading the Bible and asking if we can teach them.  How exciting!  We are about half way through the course and have our weekend away next weekend.  We are looking forward to this time as there will be lots of time to get to know each other and build deeper relationships.  This was a pivotal time for in the last course and so we are really looking forward to seeing what God is going to do again this time. 

The Lies That Women Believe and The Truth That Sets Them Free

That is the title of the ladies book study that we are starting this Saturday from 12-2.  There could be up to 10 of us.  We are excited about the opportunity to uncover the lies in women's lives and then focus on the truth together!!! Please pray for our time together that it will be a great time of growing and hearing God's voice for each of our lives.  You can also pray for Nathan as he will be watching our kids as well as some of the ladies children attending :O) Pray that all the ladies will be able to make it and we will have a great time together.

We are also in our third week of ALPHA pray that everyone will come who has shown interest in being there.  We are also starting a youth table this week!

This week we had our second kids english class, they are going great and some of the parents told us how the kids asked everyday if it was tuesday because they couldn't wait to come back.

This week Nathan hosted the second week of a study for men as well, pray for Nathan as he discerns exactly what they should study.

English Class's for Kids

For you are good, for you are good, for you are good to me, those are the words going through my heard and heart tonight as we met together for our very first English class for children.  We had 12 new kids come out.  As if that was not enough of a blessing, two of my friends, Mariana and Tania taught the class and did an amazing job!! They have committed to teach this 10 week course and are very excited to do it.  That leaves us to sit and get to know more of our neighbors as well as the new people we have had the privilege of meeting.  God's goodness is amazing....

Our Second Alpha Course starts tonight!!!

What an exciting day we are going to have!  We start our second Alpha course tonight, already we are amazed at the people who have registered and even last night we received a phone call of new people wanting to attend!  Then a friend and teacher from Costa Rica Alejandra is going to arrive for a visit!  Enjoy the picture of Carmela and Julia having fun!
